1 The dial on the Green Submariner is Green Gold, the gold is made in the SP_company's own foundry and the way they make it green is by the addition of aluminium to the alloy. I know it seems strange that adding a grey metal to a yellow one produces green, but stranger things have happened.
2 The new Submariners have the same lume as the SDDS, called Chromalite which is around 3 times more luminous than Luminova, and, like the SDDS it glows blue.
3 Whilst the new Submariners have the simplified glidelock clasp, RSCs can add the extension piece as used in the SDDS if the owner wishes to use a heavy diving suit.
4 The new 39mm Explorer has a new calibre, the 3132, which is larger in diameter than the 3130 in the previous model, it now has both Parachrome hairspring & Paraflex shock protection, like the SDDS.
